FAQ

about homeopathy

  1. Is Homeopathy a science?

Homeopathy is based on experimental pharmacological and clinical data. Over the years, homeopathic medicines have been extensively studied for their efficacy in a variety of indications. Clinical studies have been conducted in many countries.

The physical basis of the homeopathic medicines is still not clear but there have been some theories and research studies in microscopy and nanotechnology that have been throwing some good results. Any way there is enough clinical data to prove its efficacy.

  2. Is homeopathy effective for acute conditions?

Homeopathy has been proven to be a fast acting therapy in acute cases and can be effectively used in treating infections, fever, cold etc.

Unfortunately,  patients just look for a homeopath when the acute problem becomes chronic or complicated. Obviously, these cases will take longer to get a possitive reaction.

Anyway, it is always better to start your homeopathic treatment before you are sick, that means as a profilaxis therapy in order to increase your immune system and in that way been able to avoid some acute conditions.

  3. Can homeopathy treat any condition?

Homeopathy like any other field of medicine, has its limitations. For example, it cannot treat cases where surgery is unavoidable, many dental cases, etc. But it can always assist on those conditions to get a better outcome.

  4. Are homeopaths fully qualified?

In Australia, to practice as a homeopath you have to be fully qualified and get registration with AROH otherwise you cannot practice.  At present, there are at least half-million trained homeopaths across the globe.

  5. Do we need to follow strict dietary restictions during a homeopathic treatment?

It is always better to follow a healthy diet doesn't matter what kind of therapy you follow. Homeopaths will always advise for a healthy diet in order to get better results.

Some patients are asked to abstain from onions, garlic, coffee, tea, tobacco, alcohol etc. as these substances interfere with the action of certain homeopathic medicines.

  6. Is homeopathy just useful for chronic diseases?

Homeopathy is useful for any kind of condition and is effective  either in acute or chronic ailments.

Very often it is sought when everything else has failed.  The reason for this is because people turn to homeopathy just when everything else has failed.

After years of allopathic treatment often an illness becomes chronic and complicated, and therefore the homeopathic treatment will take longer to restore the balance of the body.

Homeopathy medicines are equally effective in chronic and acute ailments.

  7. Are there side affects with homeopathic medications?

Generally there are no side effects of homeopathic medicine if prescribed by a qualified homeopath in the right way.

However, some people think that it is not harmful to prescribe themselves and they get bad reactions or no good results, that is because homeopathy is complicated and just qualified people can prescribe it.

It is also often that some people recommend a medication for a friend or relative, just because it was good for them when they took it...Big mistake!!!!! we all are different and what is good for one is not going to be good for another one, homeopathy individualise every case and every person in order to give the specific medication for that particular case for that particular person.

Just like any other medicine, homeopathy medicines should be used with caution and in any case, they should not be taken without consultation with a qualified homeopath
